KEN'S HEAD HAS HAIR ON IT

I've now had three procedures at Alvi Armani. Why so many you ask? Well, once I finally did decide to do something, I didn't want to compromise (more than I physically had to) regarding my goal for the final result. Because I had a large area to address, this means a lot of transpanted hair! So before my first surgery, Dr. Armani and I decided to split it into zones: front/hairline, mid-section, and back/crown. I didn't know for certain if I was going to do all three, but starting with the hairline gives a great improvement even if I didn't do the others. The other areas would still be thinner, sure, but there is nothing 'fake looking' about that. Lots of guys retain their hairline while thinning in the back. And at least I'd have a hairline again! While the recovery is no walk in the park, it was worth it in every sense of the word and I've decided to not only do all three major zones, but possibly even some further fine-tuning. This page focuses on the most recent, third procedure. It was for the crown and a little in-fill in the mid-section, but there is a lot of historical information about the previous procedures for reference, too.

Daily pictures, observations, hint & tips, and frustrations. Here I ramble about whatever strikes me regarding the process and recovery from of my third major surgery at Alvi Armani. I've tried to take pictures for each day from the same three angles for consistency to give an idea of the change over time. For the first couple weeks post-surgery, I do daily updates, but after that, as the changes start slowing down and life starts picking back up, I drop off to updating just every so often.

Here you can check my situation well before the 1st procedure (when I first started researching surgery), just before the 1st procedure (showing the full extent of my hair loss also before I started taking any medications), just before my 2nd procedure (being a year later it shows the result of the 1st surgery), and before the 3rd procedure (which, being 18 months later, shows the final result of the 1st and 2nd procedures combined).
